With summer just around the corner, I'm so excited for Chicago's festival season to kick-off!
This weekend, we went to one of our favorite art festivals, the 38th annual Old Town Wells Street Fair, and we had a great time!
Old Town is located just North of downtown in Chicago. It's considered to be an affluent and historic neighborhood, home to many of Chicago's older, Victorian-era buildings. There's so much to do in Old Town, including different bars and restaurants (many of which are dog-friendly!), and many boutique-style stores for shopping!
We walked up Wells street, ate some good food and looked at all the great artwork!
Kobe enjoyed himself, too. Especially when he'd find pieces of food on the ground that he'd eat right away. Mom and Dad didn't like that part very much!

Kobe & Buckingham Fountain
Buckingham Fountain is a Chicago landmark, located in the center of Grant Park, and it's actually one of the world's largest fountains.
We visited Buckingham on Sunday during the day, but at night, there are color-light shows. That's the best time to visit the fountain, it's not as crowded, and the light show is beautiful.
I think Kobe enjoyed his 1st birthday on Sunday!

Happy 1st Birthday, Kobe!!
Today is Kobe's first birthday! We're planning on spending the entire day outside with him. Hopefully we can hit up Buckingham Fountain and Kobe can get a little wet on this 85 degree summer-like day!
I <3 my puppy! They grow up way too fast : )

Fountains at Lakeshore East Park
I was inspired by a post from Betty the Bichon about fountains, and I decided to shoot some pictures of these really pretty fountains in the park next to us.
There are about 5 of these fountains on either end of the park, and up until a couple weeks ago when Spring came along, they didn't have the water running. Now that they do, it gives the park a huge makeover!
When it's really hot out, Kobe likes to stick his nose in the water running on the sides! I can't blame him! Thought about doing it myself a few times hehe : )
Super pumped that Summer is just a few short weeks away!
